Map My Run
Want to map my run? Distance Map lets you draw any running route on a map and instantly see how far it is. Plan a new route before you head out, or retrace a run you’ve already done to find the exact distance — all free, in your browser, with no account required.
How to Map a Run
- Open the distance calculator in your browser
- Click your starting point on the map
- Click along the route you ran or plan to run — every turn, every loop
- Read the total distance at the bottom, in miles or kilometres
Each click adds a point, and the running total updates as you go. Drag any point to fine-tune the path until it matches your exact route.
Map a Run You Already Did
Forgot to start your watch, or ran without one? Just retrace your steps on the map. Drop points along the roads, trails and paths you took and Distance Map adds up the real distance — a simple way to log a run after the fact.
Plan a New Running Route
Mapping a run before you go means you control the distance. Building up to a 5K or 10K? Map a loop, check the number, and add or trim a street until it’s exactly the distance you want. Want elevation too? See the elevation profile to spot the hills before they surprise you.
Map My Run Without a Tracker
Distance Map isn’t a GPS watch — it’s a map. That has real advantages:
- No device required — works on any phone or computer
- Plan ahead — know the distance before your run, not after
- Total privacy — nothing is uploaded or tracked
- Pick the scenic way — choose your route instead of following turn-by-turn
When you do want hands-free tracking on the move, follow mode measures distance live as you walk or run.
